Graduated in 2010 from Universidad Autonoma de San Luis Potosi (Mexico) with a PhD in Basic Biomedical Sciences. I held postdoctoral fellowships at the University of New Mexico, the University of Iowa, and Augusta University. My area of expertise is Cardiovascular Physiology. Over the years, my research was focused on determining:
· The mechanism of blood flow detection in the coronary circulation.
· The role of the transcription factor NFATc3 in hypoxia-induced pulmonary hypertension.
· The role of endothelial CaMKII in the progression of diabetic retinopathy.
· The regulatory mechanisms of blood flow and neuronal activity mediated by the reciprocal interactions of the neurovascular unit.
