Prof. Hatfull and HHMI team awarded $1.5M education grant

Congratulations to Prof. Graham Hatfull and the Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI) team who have renewed their grant to improve science education for undergraduates.  The grant, one of 37 awarded nationally, seeks to redesign and/or expand introductory science laboratory courses to immerse undergraduates in research experiences. The award is part of a $60M initiative funded by the HHMI to improve how science is taught. The initiative enables the awardees to focus on significant and sustained improvement in retaining students in the science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) disciplines.
