Outstanding Freshmen Biology Award

The Outstanding Freshman Biology award was established at the time of the Alison Bentley Kephart Award (see above) fund to allow for nondiscriminatory equality in awarding outstanding achievement to students within the Department of Biological Sciences. The award is based on the same merits as the Alison Bentley Kephart award, which is that it is awarded to outstanding freshmen undergraduates within the Biological Sciences. Decision for awarding the prize is based on quality point averages and personal evaluations by laboratory instructors and teaching assistants.

The prize and presentation of award are the same as for the Alison Bentley Kephart award.
